Samford Academy of the Arts Language Classes

Planning a trip and need to brush up on your Spanish, French or Italian? The Academy offers refresher courses on speaking, writing, listening and reading skills in these languages. Additionally, the Academy has a professional staff to train students in English as a second language. From beginners to intermediate to pronunciation for professionals, these classes provide practical instruction for all levels.

English

English Basics for Beginners

This course teaches basic reading, writing, listening, speaking and pronunciation skills.

English Basics for Professionals

This course teaches intermediate reading, writing, listening, speaking and pronunciation skills.
Prerequisite: English Basic for Beginners or approval by instructor

Cost: $375 + textbooks

Spanish

Spanish: Summer Intensive

In this summer intensive course, students will expand general vocabulary as they practice using common verbs in the past, present, and future tenses. In class, students will receive practice Spanish with others who have both similar and different skill levels. Specific goals and course content can be accommodated and included upon request. A free online textbook will be used as the primary curriculum, and students will be encouraged to use additional resources outside of class to supplement the learning done in-class.
